I started designing beautiful baby items when my friends and I started having babies. I was making beautiful quilts for my friends with the birth of each baby, but it seemed like everyone was having babies and with a baby of my own to chase after, I couldn’t keep up. I simplified a bit and started making blankets and matching burp cloths! They were a hit and probably more practical than an heirloom quality quilt. When my oldest daughter was learning to talk, she called strawberries, “Strawbabies!” The name stuck and when it came time to choose a name for my little business, it seemed like the perfect fit!
